Excellence
Since 1965, one of Louisiana's most enduring breeders of championship Quarter Horses — the home of a Hall of Fame stallion, a Grade 1–producing roster, and three generations of horsemen.
It's not what we lost, but what we were blessed with for the time we had [Feature Mr Jess] as a racehorse and a stallion. What he accomplished was just phenomenal.
The Stallion Roster
A storied lineage of champions standing in Ventress — each chosen with intention, each producing on the track, each carrying the Jumonville name forward.

Jess Louisiana Blue
Standing at the head of the Jumonville roster, Jess Louisiana Blue has surpassed twenty-eight million dollars in sire earnings — a figure that places him among the most consequential sires in Louisiana Quarter Horse history.
His record reads as both LQHBA and AQHA Racing Champion — a son of LQHBA Hall of Fame inductee Mr Jess Perry, carrying the Mr Jess Perry line forward at Jumonville Farms.
Feature Mr Jess
Born February 8th, 1998 — a true Jumonville home-bred and the son of leading AQHA sire Mr Jess Perry. Inducted into the Louisiana Quarter Horse Breeders Association Hall of Fame in 2021.
He sired 436 winners and 128 stakes horses across ten crops, including seven racing champions whose combined earnings exceed twenty-five million dollars — the only Quarter Horse sire with two earners of more than $1.8 million each.

The Jumonville Family
John Enoul Jumonville, Jr. — known to the racing world simply as J.E. — is among the most influential and longstanding figures in the Louisiana racing and breeding industry. He owns and operates Jumonville Farms in Ventress, Louisiana, alongside his wife Bunny.
The Jumonvilles are proud parents of three sons — J.E. "Tres" III, Dutcher, and Clayton — and the farm has carried their name forward as one of the top Louisiana breeders since its founding in 1965.
For sixty years, the family has built a roster of champions through a deliberate philosophy: select with patience, breed with intent, and steward each horse with care. The result is a stable of stallions whose names live on through their progeny — and a legacy still being written.
